This is a quick sand to get the wood back to smooth after you raise the grain with wet paint. You keep sand and painting until all the wood cells are full of paint. Then you get the professional finish you want. If you use cheap paint, nothing wrong with it, it will take more coats to build that finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMark the studs around the panel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePosition the frame and fasten with 2-1\/2” to 3” screws or nails. I recommend predrilling for a cleaner look and so you don't split the wood. Note: the door will cover these fasteners.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInstall the hinges on the door and screw the door to the frame.
