This package includes an unfinished wood frame and door. The frame installs around and over your existing cover. I build them based on your situation so I can't price them as one size fits all. They range in price from $120.00 to $220.00 delivered. 85% of them on the lower side, shipping included. I am unable to figure/estimate shipping until I know how large and where I will be shipping to. If you can pick up, no shipping will be added and an average sized cover, say 15-1/2” wide x 35” tall will cost $80-$100 picked up.

I will supply drawings for you to approve. These can be built from any style of door in my shop. I do not supply hinges but will link you to them once I figure what will best suit your situation. These come unfinished. I do not paint here.

Installation:

Prime and paint. Sand with 150 grit sandpaper between coats for a professional job. This is a quick sand to get the wood back to smooth after you raise the grain with wet paint. You keep sand and painting until all the wood cells are full of paint. Then you get the professional finish you want. If you use cheap paint, nothing wrong with it, it will take more coats to build that finish.

Mark the studs around the panel.

Position the frame and fasten with 2-1/2” to 3” screws or nails. I recommend predrilling for a cleaner look and so you don't split the wood. Note: the door will cover these fasteners.

Install the hinges on the door and screw the door to the frame. Again, predrill so you don't split wood shoving a fastener into it. 1/16” bit usually does the trick.
